Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the gold standard for imaging the tendons and the ligaments of the ankle. MRI combines excellent tissue contrast and accurate anatomic delineation of joint structures. In the first article of this series, we discussed a compartmental approach to the interpretation of ankle pathology focusing on the anterior and medial compartments. This article will complete the MR review of the ankle, with a focus on the lateral and posterior compartments of the ankle.en_US
