Abstract: | Inappropriate sinus tachycardia (I.S.T.) is characterised by tachycardia at rest, frequently associated with a marked increase in sinus rate with minimal activity. Symptoms include awareness of heartbeat, palpitations include dizziness, fatigue, weakness or presyncope. Treatment to date has consisted primarily of beta blockers, with occasional use of ablation procedures. |
