Abstract: Despite the high frequency of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) effective methods of treating this condition have not yet been established. This chapter discusses the nature of post concussive symptoms and associated factors. Following from this, it outlines approaches to management of mTBI and discusses review studies evaluating their efficacy. Interventions include provision of information/psychoeducation; routine early assessment and multidisciplinary follow-up treatment addressing physical, cognitive, and psychological issues as needed; cognitive remediation; the provision of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) to assist in management of symptoms; and the use of medications or homeopathy.
